--------------------------------------------------------------
‘The Getback band’ has performed
internationally for the past few years earning great reviews at
venues in the UK, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy and Belgium to name
a few. They regularly star at International Beatle week in Liverpool,
including the famous Cavern Club and at the Mathew Street festival.
Dougie ‘Macca’ Orr has performed
internationally since reaching the final of the UKs premier talent
show – ‘Stars in your Eyes’. The Beatles have
been a major influence on him since early childhood. A talented
musician in his own right, he plays Base and rhythm guitar as well
as a bit of keyboard. Anyone who has seen Dougie perform with tell
you that as well as an incredible singer he is an amazing showman
on stage!
Fox Amoore is a renowned composer who
is generally recognised as the foremost keyboard player of his generation.
He developed his progressive keyboard writing skills at an early
age and has been plying professionally since the age of just 14!
He joined The GetBack Band in August
2005 and 3 weeks later was playing with them on their successful
International Beatle week tour in Liverpool! This included his first
performance at The Cavern Club, playing there on his 21st birthday!
Dave Bernthal on lead guitar started
playing the guitar professionally with Scottish band "Baby
Bartok" in 1994. After lots of tours, recording and a TV spot,
the band split. He then formed a band called "Singleskin"
in 1998 who went on to secure a record contract releasing 2 singles
and an album.
An accomplished composer and performer, Dave has been a huge Beatles
fan as long as he can remember! He didn’t have to be asked
twice about joining the band. His experience and enthusiasm are
evident for all to see.
Paul 'Imagine' Dunning is a gifted guitarist
& Composer. His experience and energy is a massive influence
in the band. Having previously established himself with his former
band, "Singleskin" in 1998 His first experiences with
music came at a very young age when he would look through his parent’s
record collection and choose albums based solely on the vibrancy
of the cover art. Inevitably Sgt Pepper and The White Album (It
had an Apple in the Centre) became firm favourites and The Beatles
music has remained hugely influential in the development.
Gary McAuley, on drums, was born in
the town of Dunfermline in central Scotland. He has performed in
a few progressive bands throughout the years and brings a wealth
of experience with him.
He has added a whole new dimension to The Getback Band and is just
loving playing the songs of McCartney and The Beatles!
The band is managed by Iain Armour (senior) who also acts as Road
& Stage Manager.
