FOX AMOORE (Keyboards)

Born on 26th August 1984, 'Fox' started playing the keyboard at
the tender age of 5, teaching himself on a small Casio. By the
age of 6 he was taking proper lessons on the piano, learning classical
music. He was playing Grade 8 by age 10, developing a love of
jazz, triplets and 13th chords along the way. 'Fox' is amoungst
the few keyboard players who have 'perfect pitch'! At the age
of 14, Fox was asked to join a professional band, the Craws Nest
Resident Band. The band had evolved from 60s sensations 'The Rebels.'
to become the resident band at 'The Craw's Nest Hotel' in Anstruther.
Playing every Saturday night, Fox
gained valuable performance experience and a wider knowledge of
music and music styles. Fox took over the rains of the band nearly
three years ago and they changed the name of the band to 'The
Phoenix Four'. Leaving school in Dunfermline at the age of 17,
having been one of the first people ever to achieve an A in Advanced
Higher Music.
Fox enrolled at the UHI Millennium
Institute in Perth studying B.A. Music Performance and was involved
in various projects as a session musician that took him all over
Scotland. At the UHI in Perth, Iain met fellow pupils who shared
the same passion for music. As a founding member of The X-Istence
Fox developed his song writing technique, penning the ballad 'Don't
Let Me Go', 'My Latino lover' 'Be my Valentine' and 'There's A
Revolution' etc. The X-Istence were wound up by April 2005 after
a brief, yet successful period.
He also developed his progressive
keyboard writing skills and early in 2005 completed his first
album, 'The Spirit of the Wolf,' which is a film/TV score project
conceived when he was still at school.
He joined Lawrence Macca and the GetBack
Band in August 2005 and 3 weeks later was playing with them on
their successful Beatle week tour! This included his first performance
at The Cavern Club, playing there on his 21st birthday!
